The experience

Coffeekult sits in Innsbruck, and the tasting starts with the heat and aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans. Cem Korkmaz, who has represented Austria at international coffee championships, walks you through how a professional tastes coffee: what to look for in the aroma, the variety of flavor notes that roasted beans contain, and how to match a coffee to the brewing method that brings out what you want. The roastery sources beans from all over the world, so you're tasting across the coffee planet in one session.

You taste directly on site, starting with each coffee drink from its beginning: espresso, cappuccino, café latte, flat white, filter coffee, Americano. The roastery's method is to "catch" you with the roasts and then "match" you with your dream coffee, whether you prefer something chocolaty, fruity or spicy, and whether you brew with espresso, filter or fully automatic at home. By the end of the half hour, you know which roasts work for you and which drinks to order or make next.

The roastery is wheelchair accessible, and public transportation options are nearby. Bottled water and all drinks and tastings during the tasting are included.
