The Experience

Ever wondered if wine really tastes different when you’re standing right where the grapes grew? That was my first thought as we rolled out of Margaret River — our guide, Steve, already chatting about kangaroos and soil types before we’d even hit the first bend. The van smelled faintly of eucalyptus (or maybe that was just my jacket from the morning walk), and everyone seemed half awake but quietly excited.
