The Experience

“You’ll probably fall in a lot—don’t worry, we all do,” was the first thing our instructor, Jamie, said as we shuffled down to The Spit Beach. I could smell sunscreen and that salty Gold Coast air, and honestly, my nerves were louder than the sound of the waves at first.
