The Experience

The tour starts at the Brisbane Cruise Terminal and follows the Brisbane River past historical sights, with your guide providing commentary on the city's history. You'll pass Newstead House, Brisbane's oldest home from 1846, and drive over the Story Bridge before heading to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary — the world's largest koala sanctuary. There you can hold a koala, feed kangaroos, and see wombats and dingoes up close.

From Lone Pine, the route climbs to Mt Coot-tha for 360-degree views across the city toward Moreton Bay. A café stop here lets you grab coffee or ice cream while taking in the panorama. On the return through South Bank Parklands, you'll stop at the man-made Streets Beach lagoon to photograph the iconic BRISBANE sign and explore the cultural precinct with its Ferris Wheel and shops. The driver can also show you the Brisbane Botanic Gardens' Tropical Display Dome, Fern House and Japanese Gardens if time allows.

The final stretch takes you to Kangaroo Point Cliffs for dramatic rock formations and Brisbane River views, then to Captain Burke Park and Wilson's Lookout — a quieter vantage point tucked in a residential area that photographers favor for city lights at dusk. The return journey to the cruise terminal takes up to 45 minutes from Wilson's Lookout. Throughout the day, the air-conditioned vehicle, bottled water and snacks are provided; your guide speaks English and can stop at other points of interest if the schedule allows.
