The experience
The boat leaves with your group and a captain who handles the route while you settle on the bow. You'll cruise past the High Rise and Low Rise hotels, the Port of Aruba, and Renaissance Island before reaching Mangel Halto, where the water is shallow and turquoise and a shipwreck sits on the bottom alongside coral. Snorkel gear and a life vest are already on board, and you get time to swim and explore before the captain moves to the second stop: a short reef snorkel minutes away.
The return route passes Arashi Beach and Malmok Beach, then ends at Boca Catalina, a popular snorkeling spot where you can see the California lighthouse from the water. Water and ice are provided throughout. Alcoholic drinks are not. The whole outing runs three hours, and because the boat is private to your group, you set the pace at each stop and don't wait for other divers to finish.
