The experience

The ride begins with pickup from your hotel 15 to 60 minutes before the scheduled start, depending on where you're staying. You'll get a brief orientation and riding instructions before mounting, with a platform and staff assistance available if you need it. The horses are trained for mixed ability levels, and the guides adjust the pace to match your comfort, whether this is your first time or you've ridden before.

From there, the route moves through Aruba's protected wilderness: desert terrain dotted with native cacti, seasonal green patches, and rock formations that shift as the landscape opens toward the coast. The ride follows ecological trails and countryside pathways, moving gradually from the island's interior toward the shoreline. You're riding the terrain itself, not watching it pass: the rough ground, the breeze, the weight of the horse beneath you are all part of what makes this different from a standard tour.

The route ends at Urirama Beach Cove, where time is set aside for photos with the horse and the Caribbean Sea as your backdrop. Your guide takes pictures during the ride at no extra cost. A refreshment station is available after you dismount. You can choose from five departure options (sunrise, ecological, sunset, and countryside variations), so the same route works for different times of day and different names for the experience, but the core ride stays the same.
