The Experience

The sound hits you first — the catamaran's hull cutting through trade winds so steady they've shaped Aruba's entire coastline. You're on the water maybe ten minutes before the captain points toward the Antilla, a German cargo ship that sank in 1941 and never moved again. It sits about 60 feet down, completely intact, which is rare. Most wrecks break apart or get salvaged. This one just became a reef.

The snorkel stop at the Antilla is the centerpiece, but what stays with you is Tres Trapi, the second site where the turtles are. You're in maybe 20 feet of water, mask on, and they're just there — moving slowly, unbothered, letting you float above them.
