A 2-tank guided dive for certified divers off Aruba's southern coast, departing between 9am and 1pm with pickup from cruise terminals and nearby resorts. You dive your own equipment at sites like Sponge, Tire, Bali, Mangel Halto and the Jane C wreck, guided underwater by instructors in English, Spanish or Dutch. The operator chooses the dive spots based on weather, sea conditions and your certification level.

The experience

You're picked up from the cruise terminal (outside gate 3 by the Harley Davidson shop) or from Palm, Eagle, Harbor House or Renaissance resorts, then head out on the Drumfish to two dive sites on the quieter southern side of the island. The morning window runs between 9am and about 1pm, which fits most cruise schedules and leaves the afternoon free. Weather and sea conditions decide which reefs or wrecks you'll visit: Sponge, Tire, Anchor, Bali, Barcadera, Harbor, Fingers, Mark, Isla di Oro, Mangel Halto, Hole in the Wall and others are all options depending on what's safe and what suits your certification.

Before you go, prepare your own dive set so you're comfortable with your gear in the water. The instructors will help if you need it. Underwater, they guide you along the reefs or wrecks, pointing out the corals and marine life. You're responsible for bringing your equipment. Missing pieces can be rented at the shop for cash. After diving, you can't fly for at least 24 hours, so plan accordingly if you're leaving the island the same day.

Fresh fruit and drinking water are included, along with the guide's knowledge of the site. The group stays small enough that the guide can watch everyone and adjust the dive to conditions. Minimum age is 10, and you need to be a certified diver. This isn't a training dive or a discovery experience.

How does pickup work if I'm on a cruise ship?

Cruise passengers are picked up outside gate 3 in front of the Harley Davidson shop at the cruise terminal. If you're staying at Palm, Eagle, Harbor House or Renaissance resorts, pickup happens at your hotel. The morning departure window runs between 9am and 1pm, so you have flexibility to time it with your schedule.

Can I fly after this dive?

No, you must wait at least 24 hours after diving before flying. If you're leaving Aruba the same day, this dive won't work for your schedule.
