The Experience

The first thing I noticed was the way the morning light hit the vines at Diamandes — almost too sharp, like someone had turned up the contrast on real life. Lunch at La Morada wasn’t rushed. The fire cooking at El Hornero sent up these little curls of smoke that smelled like rosemary and wood.
