Step-by-step itinerary
Kayak tour along Lukova coast

- Paddle to Kroreza Beach
- Explore Kroreza Beach and have meal
- Return paddle along white rocky coast
- Stop at secret wild beach and explore caves
- Paddle back to starting point
The experience
You start at the Lukova Caves shore and paddle for 30 minutes along white rocky cliffs before pulling onto the first wild beach for a 30-minute stop. The water is clean and clear. The coast stays rocky and steep the whole way. Another 30 minutes of paddling brings you to Krorëza Beach, a two-part cove joined by a bay with big white rocks rising from the water. Bars sit on the beach if you want a meal or a drink during the break.
The return follows the same route but stops at a different secret beach where two small caves sit above the waterline and you can explore them before paddling back. The whole trip covers 8 km, split between paddling and stops. You'll need at least a moderate level of fitness. The paddle is steady but not extreme, and the stops let you rest and swim. Snorkelling equipment, waterproof bags and waterproof phone cases come with the booking.
Choose the option with transfer from Saranda if you don't have your own transport to the starting point. Book the paddle alone if you're already on the coast or have a ride arranged. The guide leads in English and keeps groups small enough to move at a steady pace.
What’s included

- waterproof bags and waterproof cases for your phone.

Is this one for you?The 4-hour paddle suits a half-day outing if you're based on the southern coast or have a free afternoon in Saranda. The transfer option works if you need a ride from town but adds travel time on either end. Moderate fitness and comfort in the water matter more than kayaking experience, since the guide leads and the pace stays steady.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (6 to 16 years). Children under 6 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
Can I kayak to Lukova Caves if I've never paddled before?
The trip requires at least a moderate level of physical fitness and steady paddling for 30 minutes at a time, but the guide leads the whole way and the pace is manageable for someone new to kayaking. Children from age 6 can join if they're comfortable in the water and can paddle with help.
What's the difference between Lukova Caves and Krorëza Beach on this paddle?
Lukova Caves is the rocky shore you paddle along at the start and end of the trip, with small caves and secret wild beaches tucked into the cliffs. Krorëza Beach is the main stop in the middle, a larger two-part cove with a beautiful bay between the sections and bars on the sand where you can eat or rest.
Do I need to book the transfer from Saranda, or can I get to the starting point on my own?
The transfer from Saranda is optional. You can book the paddle alone if you have your own transport to the meeting point or are staying nearby. The transfer option is there if you need a ride from town.
What should I bring for a 4-hour kayaking trip on the Albanian coast?
Bring a hat, sunscreen and a towel. Waterproof bags and cases for your phone come with the tour. Snorkelling equipment is included if you want to use it. The water is cold enough that a wetsuit can help if you're sensitive to temperature, though it's not required.
Is there time to swim or snorkel during the stops?
Yes. The stops at the wild beaches and Krorëza Beach give you time to swim and snorkel if you want to. The water is clear and the beaches are quiet, so you can spend the break in the water or on the sand.
