The experience
You're picked up from your Victoria Falls hotel and driven straight into Chamabondo National Park in an open game viewer vehicle with a licensed guide. The operator handles the park formalities before the tour starts, so you skip the entrance queue that slows down other companies and gain extra time on the actual game drive. The landscape is vast, unfenced savannah where every route depends on what the guide spots: elephant tracks, fresh kills, movement in the grass. Your guide reads the land as you move through it, interpreting behavior and tracks instead of following a fixed circuit.
The centerpiece is a tea break at a safari camp positioned near a waterhole. You're served high tea in the style of the savannah (Tanganda tea, sandwiches, cookies, cake and fresh fruit), while wildlife may approach at the water's edge, especially as the light shifts toward evening. This is not a rushed stop. The moment is built into the schedule so you can sit, watch and wait without hurrying back to the vehicle.
Your return journey runs through the savannah at sunset, when the light turns the landscape into shades of yellow, orange and red. The guide continues to watch for animals moving in the fading day. You're back at your hotel after roughly three and a half hours, having covered ground most morning tours never reach because they're still waiting at the gate.
What’s included

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French and German.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (11 to 17 years); Child (3 to 10 years); Infant (under 3): free.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What animals might I see on the Chamabondo game drive?
Elephants, lions, buffalo, zebra, leopards and various antelope species live in the unfenced savannah. Sightings depend on the day and where the guide finds fresh tracks or movement, so every drive is different.
Is the tea service included in the price, or do I pay extra?
The high tea with Tanganda tea, sandwiches, cookies, cake, fruit and water is included in the tour price. A multilingual guide in Spanish, French or German costs 10 USD extra per person if you request one instead of the English guide.
How early do we leave, and why does that matter?
The operator departs before other safari companies and completes park formalities before the tour officially starts, so you enter Chamabondo ahead of the crowds. This gives you more time on the actual game drive and access to areas that fill up later in the morning.
Do I need to be fit for this tour, or is it suitable for most people?
The tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels. You travel in a vehicle for most of the time, with a seated tea break at the waterhole. Infants can join if they sit on an adult's lap.
What's included in the price, and what do I need to arrange separately?
Hotel pickup and drop-off, the game drive in a 4x4 with a licensed guide, and the full high tea service are included. Gratuities for the guide are not included and are at your discretion.
