The experience
The day starts with a pickup from your hotel in Nha Trang. Before the climb begins, you'll stop at villages along the way to watch craftspeople at work: locals weaving mats, binding the traditional Non La conical hats by hand, making rice paper and noodles, and manufacturing chopsticks. You'll cross a wooden bridge built by local people and walk through rice paddies while your guide explains how they operate. A stop at a sugar cane field lets you taste fresh-pressed juice straight from the harvest.
From there the route heads into the mountains. You'll pass through coffee plantations and learn how the crop is grown and processed, then climb the Omega Pass to approximately 1,700 meters. The cool mountain air and the views along the way are built for photographs. Once you reach Dalat, your guide explains why it's called Vietnam's honeymoon capital and shows you the French influence that earned it the nickname "The Small Paris": colonial buildings and romantic streets line the city. You'll explore some of the thousands of greenhouses that cover the hillsides, growing flowers and vegetables for the whole country, and visit the Dragon pagoda before the tour ends.
After arriving in Dalat, you can choose to stay in the city, ride back to Nha Trang with the group, or arrange onward transport. The guide and driver handle the entire route. Lunch and drinks are provided along the way.
