The experience
The cable car ride itself is the draw here. At 5,042 meters, it's the world's longest cable car line, and it climbs 1,291 meters from base to peak: a Guinness World Record span. You'll ride it up to Ba Na Hills, which sits at 1,487 meters above sea level, where the air temperature stays between 17 and 20°C year-round. The Golden Bridge emerges at the top: a 148-meter span with a floor of thick Merawan Giaza wood and golden handrails, flanked by two enormous stone hands. Your guide positions you for photos and explains the site's history while you stand there. The cable car descends the same way, and you'll have lunch at a local restaurant before moving on.
Marble Mountains comes next. Five limestone and marble hills named after the five elements: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. You'll explore the natural caves inside them, visit a holy pagoda, and get views over the city and ocean. Your guide tells you the spiritual and historical significance of each mountain as you move through. The tour wraps up with a return to your ship, timed to arrive one hour before departure.
Your driver and guide meet you at the port with a name board and handle transport in a private car or minivan. Buffet lunch, all entrance tickets, cable car tickets and elevator access at Marble Mountains are included. The whole day runs 8 to 9 hours from pickup to drop-off.
