The experience
You leave Ninh Binh between 6:45 and 7:00 in the morning if you book the included transfer, or meet the boat at Tuan Chau Marina by 11:45 if you drive yourself. The tender takes you out to the cruise by noon, and lunch starts while the boat moves through the bay. By 2:30 you're in Dark and Bright Cave with a kayak or bamboo boat, paddling into the limestone formations. An hour later you swim in open water near the anchored cruise. The sunset party runs from 5:30 to 6:30, with a buy-two-get-one-free drink deal, and a traditional Vietnamese cooking class starts at 6:15 if you want to join. Dinner is at 7:15. After that, the evening is yours: squid fishing, a movie, spa services, or just watching the bay in the dark.
Day two starts at 6:00 with optional Tai Chi on the top deck or a sunrise watch. Light breakfast comes at 7:00, then you have an hour to kayak around Lan Ha Bay (the operator calls it the most beautiful natural bay in Vietnam) with leisure time to explore at your own pace. By 9:30 you check out of your cabin and have brunch while the boat heads back to the pier. You leave the tender at 10:30 and disembark at 11:00. If you booked the optional return transfer to Hanoi, the drive takes until 3:00 in the afternoon. Otherwise, the cruise says goodbye at the port.
Your cabin has a private balcony and a bathtub. The suite tier you choose determines the floor: Junior Suite on one level, Senior Suite on another. Two bottles of water wait in the cabin. Meals include dinner and breakfast both days, plus the welcome drink when you board. The guide speaks English. Wi-Fi exists onboard but stays limited because the limestone and sea block the signal.

Is this one for you?Book this cruise if you want to kayak and swim in the bay without managing the overnight logistics yourself: the boat anchors in Lan Ha Bay, so you paddle from your floating base and return to a cabin, meals, and activities between water time. The two-day format gives you sunrise paddling on day two, which single-day trips from Hanoi skip.
