The experience
The Blue Lagoon is a giant swimming pool where fresh and salt water mix, giving the water its distinctive aqua color and a refreshing feel. It sits on Efate surrounded by rainforest, and you'll have time to swim before moving on to the next stop.
Eden on the River is a hidden gem on the same island: a scenic spot with a waterfall about 15 minutes' walk from the starting point. Once you reach the top, the guide gives you time to relax and take in the view. From there, the route heads to Aelan Chocolate Makers, Vanuatu's first chocolate producer and a social enterprise run by ACTIV Association. The factory tour shows you how the chocolate is made, and you get to taste different varieties. ACTIV has worked since 2008 with disadvantaged communities across Vanuatu to build economic opportunities and improve product quality, with a focus on involving women in production and protecting the environment.
Lunch is provided during the day. The tour also includes 30 minutes for duty-free shopping before you return. Your local guide speaks English and handles the route. Hotel pickup is included in the booking.
