The experience
You spend the whole day in the mountains with a guide who knows the terrain and brings everything you need. The operator holds a US Forest Service Outfitting & Guiding Permit to take groups into the Wasatch-Cache-Uinta National Forest, so you're accessing backcountry that requires that authorization. Transportation from Park City is included, and the guide handles all the logistics. You just show up and decide what the day looks like.
The activities shift based on what your group wants to do. Hiking is always an option, as is inflatable kayaking on pristine high mountain lakes, archery with bows and arrows, wildlife spotting with binoculars, and sight-seeing from viewpoints. If you want to slow down, the guide can set up hammocks so you can rest in the peaceful mountain environment, or you can try dirt road driving to explore different terrain. The guide calls this "freedom to experience anything and everything possible": your group decides the pace and what to focus on, and the guide adapts.
Box lunch arrives at midday: a sandwich, chips, fruit, and a dessert. Fall colors peak in late September and early October, when sunshine and crisp mountain air make the high elevation comfortable for a full day outside. The experience suits anyone from age 5 up, though it is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or poor cardiovascular health.
