The experience

The hour begins on the sand, where your instructor covers ocean safety and how a surfboard moves through water, then shows you several ways to pop up on the board so you can find the method that feels right. Once you're comfortable with the motion on dry land, you move into the shallow water where the actual wave-catching starts. The waves at Dania Beach break in a way that makes them forgiving for learners: small enough to feel safe, long enough to give you time to stand up.

Your instructor stays in the water with you the whole time, helping you read the currents and positioning you to catch the best available waves. The personalized approach means the lesson moves at your pace, whether you're standing on a board for the first time or refining techniques you already have.
