Snorkeling in Oahu: Turtle encounters & water activities
Three hours in the water with sea turtles and five different ways to play
Snorkeling in Oahu's Waikiki waters aboard Ocean Intrigue, a 65-foot catamaran carrying up to 135 passengers, with a strong chance to encounter green sea turtles. The boat departs from Kewalo Basin Harbor and includes snorkel gear, fins, lifejackets, paddleboards, kayaks, a water trampoline, a water slide and a 20-foot platform jump into the ocean, plus drinks and snacks onboard. The experience
The boat leaves Kewalo Basin Harbor 30 minutes after you check in, heading into Waikiki's waters where green sea turtles are commonly spotted. Ocean Intrigue is a 65-foot catamaran with dual decks, shaded areas, two restrooms, and enough space for everyone to move between activities without crowding. Snorkel gear (mask, fins and lifejacket) is provided, though you can bring your own if you prefer.
Once in the water, you control what happens next. Snorkeling is the main draw, and the operator notes a high chance of seeing turtles in these waters. If you want to move around, paddleboards and kayaks are available on deck, or try the water trampoline for a break. The water slide drops from the upper deck, and the 20-foot platform lets you jump straight into the ocean if you're game for it. Drinks, juice and granola bars keep you fueled between activities.
The return trip brings you back to Kewalo Basin after three hours total. Transportation can be arranged by calling or texting through the booking platform for a $10 per-person roundtrip fee. The harbor sits near Ala Moana Mall if you want to explore afterward, and public transit options are close by.
