Private Fishing Charter in Naples Bay: 3 or 4 Hours
Three to four hours on the water, your group alone, reeling in redfish, snook and snapper
A private fishing charter in Naples Bay puts you on a 22-foot center console with a U.S.C.G. licensed captain for either 3 or 4 hours. You fish the backcountry and bay, and on calm days venture up to 9 miles into the Gulf. The captain provides all gear, bait and licenses, cleans your catch, and you choose morning or afternoon. Step-by-step itinerary
Private fishing charter in Naples Bay
- Board the fishing boat
- Fish at Naples hotspots
- Captain cleans and bags catch
The experience
The boat is built for fishing: quality Ugly Stik rods, a fishfinder and GPS to locate the hotspots, and a trolling motor for precision. The captain has spent over two decades running commercial offshore boats and private charters across South and Southwest Florida, so he knows where the redfish, snook, black drum, sheepshead and snapper are holding. On calmer days the route reaches 9 miles into the Gulf. Most trips work the backcountry and Naples Bay itself. The 22-footer has high gunnels to keep children safe, cushioned seats with backrests, and a T-Top that shades the center of the boat: useful on a full-day outing.
A 3-hour charter gives you roughly 2 hours 45 minutes on the water. The 4-hour trip runs 3 hours 45 minutes, with the remaining time spent cleaning and bagging your catch so you can take it home or have one of the local restaurants cook it for you. Morning and afternoon departures are both available, so you can fit the fishing around the rest of your day. The captain handles all the logistics: fishing licenses, tackle, bait, and the cleanup work. You bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Flat, non-slip shoes are required. The boat is private to your group: no strangers sharing the boat except the captain.
Inclusions cover the essentials: life vests for adults and children of any age or weight, bottled water and sodas, complimentary snacks, and a cooler with ice for your own drinks or to store your catch. Ponchos are on board in case of rain, though the captain avoids booking on days heavy weather is forecast. If weather forces an early return, you pay only for the time you actually spent on the water. The boat is wheelchair accessible up to the dock, though wheelchairs cannot come aboard. Comfortable seating with backrests is available for guests with mobility needs. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What fish can I expect to catch in Naples Bay and the Gulf?
Redfish, sheepshead, black drum, snook, pompano, seatrout, jacks and snapper are the species the captain targets. The exact catch depends on the season and water conditions on the day you fish.
How long will I actually spend fishing versus travel time?
A 3-hour charter includes roughly 2 hours 45 minutes on the water. A 4-hour charter runs 3 hours 45 minutes. The remaining time is spent cleaning and bagging your catch at the dock.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes. The boat includes a cooler with ice for your personal snacks and drinks, and a separate cooler with ice if you want to bring your own alcohol. Bottled water and sodas are also provided.
What happens if bad weather cuts the trip short?
If a storm forces an early return, you pay only 50% of the charter price for the shortened time. If weather is forecast to be severe, the captain avoids booking that day, and you can reschedule or receive a full refund.
Is the boat suitable for children and people with mobility needs?
Yes. The boat has high sides to keep children safe, life vests for all ages and weights, and comfortable seating with backrests for guests with disabilities. Wheelchairs can be brought to the dock but not aboard. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
