If you want real adventure away from crowds, this private ATV ride takes you deep into Hawaii’s wild side—emerald trails, hidden forests, ocean cliffs, and maybe even turtles if you’re lucky.
Red dirt clings to your boots before you even start the engine. Our guide, Keoni, hands out helmets and goggles—he jokes about the dust, but he’s not kidding. The air smells faintly of kiawe wood and salt. We set off on CF Moto 600 Touring ATVs, easy to handle even for first-timers like me. The trail dips into a tunnel of Hale Koa trees—sunlight flickers through the branches, and you can hear nothing but the hum of engines and a few distant birds.
The path gets rougher as we move deeper into the ancient kiawe forest. Branches scratch at our sleeves; you feel every bump in your arms. Keoni points out a wild goat darting between rocks—blink and you’d miss it. Suddenly, the trees open up and there’s the ocean, all blue and restless against black lava cliffs. We park the ATVs and walk a short way to watch sea turtles bobbing in the surf below. I never realized how green that sand could look until I saw it up close—almost unreal in the afternoon sun.
Yes! The ATVs are automatic with power steering, so they’re easy to drive even if it’s your first time. Our guide gives a quick lesson before heading out.
Turtles are wild animals so sightings aren’t guaranteed—but we often spot them near the ocean cliffs where they like to rest.
Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dusty or muddy. We provide helmets, goggles, gloves, and dust masks for everyone.
This is a small group experience for 2 to 4 people—perfect if you want something private and personal.
You’ll get use of our top-notch CF Moto 600 Touring ATVs plus DOT-approved helmets, polarized goggles (trust me—you’ll need them), dust masks, and gloves. Everything’s included so just bring yourself and a sense of adventure.
