The experience
How much time do you actually need to hook into deep-sea action without losing half the day to travel and setup? Six hours on the water gives you real fishing time: enough to work multiple techniques and chase several species without the commitment of a full-day charter. You'll board the Don't Tell Mom, a custom 46' Hatteras sportfish yacht, and head offshore with a captain who knows where the fish are running and a dedicated first mate who handles the details so you can focus on the rod in your hands.
The boat carries everything you need: outriggers and downriggers for trolling, a fighting chair for the big ones, live wells to keep bait fresh, and a full tackle setup with rods and reels already rigged. Depending on what's biting and where (sailfish in season, mahi-mahi and tuna year-round, wahoo, snapper, grouper, amberjack, and sharks when conditions align) the captain will switch between trolling, wreck fishing, bottom fishing, and kite fishing to put you on fish. You're not watching someone else fish. You're holding the gear and making the decisions.
The boat has a shaded cabin with air-conditioning, a galley with a fridge and freezer, coolers stocked with ice, and a restroom onboard. Bottled water is included. You can bring your own snacks or arrange catering in advance. Fishing licenses are built into the price, and the crew will clean your catch at the end of the trip. All you need to bring is sunscreen and whatever food or drinks you want beyond water.

Sailfish, mahi-mahi, tuna, wahoo, snapper, grouper, amberjack, and sharks are all possible depending on the season and water conditions. The captain and mate will adjust techniques (trolling, wreck fishing, bottom fishing, and kite fishing) to target whatever is running when you're out.
