St. Andrews Snorkeling Tour with Dolphin Watching & Gear Included
Dolphins show up on most departures, and your guide decides the snorkel sites based on what the water looks like that day.
Snorkeling and dolphin watching in St. Andrews is a 4-hour guided activity aboard a pontoon boat for up to six people, with all snorkeling equipment provided. You arrive 30 minutes early, meet at the Boat Shack at the marina, and spend the morning in the water with an experienced guide who reads the conditions and picks the snorkel locations on the day. The tour runs March through August, departing at 10:00am, and you can add up to two extra hours for $50 per hour if the conditions hold.
Step-by-step itinerary

The Experience
If you've got a free morning and want to get in the water without renting a boat yourself, this is the setup that removes that part of the planning. You show up at the marina 30 minutes before departure, meet your guide at the Boat Shack, and climb aboard a pontoon boat with up to five other people. The guide handles the boat; you handle the snorkel gear, which is all provided — mask, fins, snorkel, everything. The water conditions and marine life movement decide where you actually go, so your guide makes that call on the morning itself rather than locking in a single spot.
The 4-hour window covers the snorkeling and dolphin watching, with the guide steering you to wherever the activity is strongest that day. Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a camera; there's a cooler on board with ice if you bring refreshments to keep cold. You can also purchase sunscreen, hats and drinks at the park if you didn't pack them. The boat holds a maximum of six people, which means you're not managing a crowd while you're trying to watch what's below the surface. If the conditions stay good and you want more time, you can add up to two extra hours at $50 per hour.
Book at least 24 hours in advance and plan on a 48-hour cancellation window. Park admission is separate and not included in the tour price, so budget for that when you arrive at the marina. Arrive early enough to find parking and walk to the Boat Shack without rushing.

Is this one for you?Your guide speaks English and leads the commentary throughout the morning, so if you're new to snorkeling or nervous about being on the water, the small group size and experienced guide mean you're not managing the boat or the route — you're just in the water with someone who knows what to look for.

What should I bring on the snorkeling trip to St. Andrews?

Will I definitely see dolphins on this snorkeling tour?
Dolphins appear on most departures, but sightings depend on water conditions and marine life movement on the day. Your guide decides the snorkel locations based on where the activity is strongest when you're out on the water.
How many people go on the boat at once?
The pontoon boat holds a maximum of six people, including your guide, so the group stays small and manageable while you're snorkeling.
Can I add more time to the 4-hour tour if I'm having a great day?
Yes, you can purchase up to two additional hours for $50 per hour if the conditions and your group want to stay out longer.
Is park admission included in the snorkeling tour price?
Park admission is not included and must be paid separately when you arrive at the marina. Budget for that fee in addition to the tour cost.
What time does the snorkeling tour depart?
The tour departs at 10:00am and runs until 2:00pm, operating from March 1 through August 31. You'll need to arrive 30 minutes early and meet your guide at the Boat Shack at the marina.
