The Statue of Liberty rises above the water as your boat cuts through New York Harbor

You board a 1920s-style yacht and spend 90 minutes cruising New York Harbor with unobstructed views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Manhattan's skyline from both an open bow and climate-controlled cabin. One beverage is included, and the boat moves at a pace that lets you absorb the view instead of rushing through stops. The fixed route and timing mean you don't have to coordinate ferry schedules or figure out the best vantage point yourself.

1h 30m

Step-by-step itinerary

  • Board 1920s-style yacht
  • View Manhattan skyline from boat
  • Cruise along Hudson River
  • See Ellis Island from boat
  • Pass Statue of Liberty for photos

The Experience

The boat leaves the pier and you're standing in the open bow, the wind picking up as the Hudson River spreads out in front of you. Manhattan's west side slides past — office towers, old warehouses, the hum of the city getting smaller as you head into the harbor. It's a 90-minute cruise, and the first thing you notice is how different the skyline looks from the water. From street level it's all noise and verticality; from here it's a wall of glass and steel that actually has depth, shadow, scale.

Ellis Island comes up on the left, and then the Statue of Liberty itself — not a postcard version but the real thing, close enough that you can see the torch, the folds in the robe, the people who've climbed up inside it looking back toward Brooklyn. The boat slows. People pull out phones, but mostly they just stand there. The observation cabin behind you is glassed in and climate controlled if the weather turns, but on a clear day the bow is where you want to be. You get one complimentary beverage — coffee, soda, or something cold — and there's seating in the grand salon if you need a break, though the tables are shared depending on your group size.

The whole thing moves at a pace that lets you actually look. You're not rushed through a checklist of landmarks; the boat cruises the harbor in a way that makes the Financial District, the bridges, the water traffic all feel like part of one view instead of separate things you're supposed to photograph. The yacht itself is styled like something from the 1920s, which sounds gimmicky until you're actually on it and realize the design means you can move around, see from different angles, and not feel packed in. By the time you head back, you've seen the three things people come for — the Statue, Ellis Island, the Manhattan skyline — but you've also gotten a sense of how the city actually sits in the water, which is something you can't get from land.

What’s included

Your cruise includes the 90-minute harbor tour with views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Manhattan's skyline from both the open bow and the climate-controlled observation cabin, one complimentary beverage, and seating in the grand salon. The boat operates year-round, and public transportation options are available nearby to reach the departure point.
