You get a private boat with a licensed captain for 2, 3, or 4 hours, visiting Millionaire's Row, Star Island, Fisher Island and Bayside. The boat includes a floating mat (on longer tours), Bluetooth speaker, cooler with ice, and a restroom. You bring your own drinks and snacks, play your own music, and set the pace—whether that means sightseeing, swimming, or anchoring for a celebration.
The captain meets you at the dock with a boat that's yours alone for the next few hours. No crowded tour groups, no fixed playlist, no schedule that doesn't fit what you actually want to do. You pick the boat—Chaparral or Monterey—and you pick the length: two hours if you want the quick skyline run, three if you want to drop anchor and swim, four if you're throwing a birthday or bachelor party and plan to stay out on the water. The floating mat comes on the longer tours, and the Bluetooth system means you're playing your own music the whole time.
The route covers the spots that actually matter. You start in the Miami River, where the Brickell skyline stacks up behind you, then head toward Bayside and the Ferris wheel, past the Port of Miami—one of the largest in the US—and out to the islands. Star Island slides by, then Fisher Island, then Millionaire's Row, where the houses sit so close to the water you can almost read the addresses. The captain knows the angles and the timing; you just watch it happen, or you don't, depending on whether you brought a drink and want to sit on the bow instead. On the three-hour tour, you can jump in the water when the boat stops. On the four-hour one, other private boats anchor nearby and it turns into something closer to a floating party.
What you don't have to think about: the captain is USCG-licensed, the boat has a restroom, there's a cooler with ice and bottled water included, and you bring whatever else you want to drink or eat. If you're traveling with kids or a stroller, that works fine. If you need to pick a specific boat type, you can request it in the notes when you book, though if you don't specify one will be assigned. The whole thing is low-stress in a way that crowded tour boats just aren't.
