The experience

The tour starts at Marina Del Rey's Dock 52 and follows the coast south to Hermosa Beach. You'll ride a Specialized Kenevo Expert electric mountain bike, which handles the flat beach path without requiring you to pedal hard. The motor does most of the work. The two-hour ride gives you room to stop whenever something catches your eye: a view, a pier, a stretch of sand worth a photo. The pace is set by the group and the guide, so you're not racing.

Once you reach Hermosa Beach, the tour ends and the beach time begins. You and your group can grab lunch or a drink at one of the beachside restaurants, browse the shops, or just sit on the sand. The guide stays with you through the ride but the destination is yours to explore at your own speed after you arrive.

Bottled water and a helmet come with the bike. The guide speaks English or Spanish and rides with the group the whole way. Children from age 10 can join.
