Step-by-step itinerary

E-bike ride from Marina to Hermosa Beach

• Fit helmet and instruct on e-bike use
• Ride electric bike to Hermosa Beach

The experience

You start at Marina Del Rey, get fitted with a helmet and eyewear, and learn how to operate the electric pedal-assist bike before heading out. The motor handles the hard work on inclines, so you can focus on the ride itself and the water alongside you. The coastal bike path keeps you off the road and lets you move at a steady pace through the neighborhoods between here and Hermosa Beach.

Marina Manhattan Beach sits in the middle of your route, and you'll ride through its local beach vibe before continuing to Hermosa Beach itself. If you book toward the evening, the timing lines up to catch the sunset over the water on the way back. The whole loop takes three hours, which gives you time to stop and take in the ocean without rushing.
