The experience
The tour picks you up at the cruise terminal at San Pedro and heads straight into Los Angeles without the wait of a shuttle or transfer hub. You'll see the Hollywood Sign from a location the operator has scouted, not the standard overlook, and stop to take photos with it in the background. From there the route moves through Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you can walk the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre and see the handprints at the Chinese Theatre, then drives through Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and down the Sunset Strip.
Downtown Los Angeles fills the second half of the day. You'll pass the Walt Disney Concert Hall, a 22-million-pound structure of stainless steel designed by Frank Gehry to resemble a ship in full sail, and see the Art Deco LA City Hall, which has appeared in dozens of films and TV shows. The route also includes the Angelino Heights Victorian District, where many of those same productions were filmed. A professional guide with local knowledge narrates throughout, and the vehicle stays climate-controlled between stops.
The timing is built around cruise schedules: the 8 AM departure gets you back before 2:45 PM, leaving a buffer before the ship leaves. Bottled water comes with the tour. If you're staying at a selected hotel in Los Angeles instead of returning to the port, drop-off can be arranged there. Luggage storage at the cruise terminal is secure while you're on land, so you don't carry bags through the day.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What time does the tour leave San Pedro and when do I need to be back?
Pickup is at 8 AM or 12 PM directly at the cruise terminal. The tour is six hours, and the early departure ensures you're back before 2:45 PM so there's time to board the ship before departure.
Do I get to take a photo with the Hollywood Sign?
Yes. The tour stops at a location the operator has selected specifically for photos with the sign in the background, and you'll have time to take pictures before moving on.
What landmarks does the tour actually stop at versus just drive past?
You stop to photograph the Hollywood Sign and walk the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you can see the stars on the sidewalk and the handprints at the Chinese Theatre. Rodeo Drive, Sunset Strip, Downtown LA, and the other landmarks are viewed from the vehicle as the guide points them out and explains them.
Is food included, or do I need to bring money for lunch?
Bottled water is included. Food and drinks are not part of the tour, so you'll want to bring money if you'd like to eat or shop during stops like the Hollywood Walk of Fame or Rodeo Drive.
Can I arrange hotel drop-off instead of returning to the cruise port?
Drop-off at selected Los Angeles hotels is available instead of the cruise terminal, though you'll need to arrange this when you book. Direct port pickup is always included.
What is the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and why is it on the tour?
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is a landmark building in Downtown Los Angeles designed by architect Frank Gehry. It's made of 22 million pounds of stainless steel shaped to look like a ship in full sail, and it's one of the most recognizable modern structures in the city.
