The Experience
The tour starts at a hilltop pavilion with a view of the Kona coast, then moves into the working farm itself. Your guide walks you through the rows, explaining what makes the Kona Coffee Belt different—the volcanic soil, the climate, the altitude—and shows you how the ripe cherries are handpicked, then washed, dried, and prepared for roasting. You'll see the equipment that does each step and understand why this region produces only 100% Kona coffee, not a blend.
The tasting happens on the lanai after the walk. You sample five of the farm's top picks for that day, bottomless, so you can linger over the ones that land with you. Three candy samples come with the tour as well. The whole experience runs about an hour, which means a free afternoon or a morning slot fits without reshaping the rest of your day.
