The experience

The experience opens with a nature walk on a roughly one-mile loop trail inside Joshua Tree National Park, surrounded by towering boulders and uninterrupted desert views. Your guide discusses the landscape's geology, local plant and animal life, and the elemental energies the park is known for. The trail is designed to activate both mind and body, with time built in for meditation and grounding as you move through the terrain.

After the walk, you move into the second half of the activity: an intention-setting cacao ceremony and soundbath meditation. You'll work with ceremonial-grade cacao from Central America while the guide leads you through meditation using low-frequency sound vibrations from planetary gongs. The combination is meant to deepen your meditative state and connect you to your personal intentions. Sanitized mats and blankets are provided for this seated portion.

The full activity runs about four hours. A live guide leads the entire experience in English, and the pace and terrain accommodate all fitness levels, though the operator notes it is not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Service animals are welcome on the trail.
