The experience

You depart Long Beach on your own jet ski with a guide leading the group across open ocean toward Catalina Island. The route covers roughly 22 miles each way, and along the way you'll likely spot dolphins and sea lions moving through the same waters. The guides set the pace and stay with the group, so whether you've ridden before or this is your first time, you move at a speed that works for everyone. All safety equipment, wetsuits, and snorkeling gear are included. Fuel is covered too.

Once you reach Avalon, you have three hours to do what you want. Some people eat at one of the island's restaurants, others rent a golf cart to explore, and some just stay on the beach. If you brought snorkeling gear (provided), you can use it in the water here. The return trip follows the same route back to Long Beach, and the whole outing takes about six hours from start to finish.

Photos from the ride are sent to you within 48 hours. The trip is a dock-to-dock experience, meaning you board and exit from the dock. You don't have to get in the water at any point unless you want to. Guides speak English and lead the group throughout.
