The Experience

The float covers 14 miles from Snake River Ranch—a historic 3,000-acre property at the base of the Tetons—downstream to a private takeout. Your guide handles the oars the entire way, which means you sit back and watch the landscape unfold instead of working the current. The Teton Range dominates the view, with Grand Teton itself rising 13,775 feet above the valley floor. You'll also see the Gros Ventre Mountains and the broader Jackson Hole valley, a perspective that complements time spent inside Grand Teton National Park itself.

Three hours on the water leaves room to identify birds, spot wildlife along the banks, and photograph without rushing. Cameras are encouraged. The Snake River here is scenic rather than technical—no whitewater, no paddling experience needed.
