Indoor skydiving in Charlotte puts you in a vertical wind tunnel at iFLY for two flights guided by a certified instructor. Training and all gear are included, and you leave with a personalized flight certificate. The experience takes about 75 minutes total. Minimum age is 3. Children under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver.

The experience

The session starts with a training briefing where an instructor walks you through body position, hand signals and what to expect inside the wind tunnel. You'll learn how to control your movement in the airflow before you step into the 120-mph vertical column. Two separate flights let you practice what you learned in the first one and push a little further the second time around.

Each flight happens inside iFLY Charlotte's state-of-the-art wind tunnel, where the instructor flies alongside you the whole time. They're there to help you stay stable, adjust your position and make sure you're safe. No skydiving experience is necessary. The facility is built for first-timers, and the instructor handles the technical side while you focus on the sensation of weightlessness.

Wear lace-up sneakers or running shoes and comfortable clothes. The facility provides the flight suit and helmet. After both flights, you'll receive a personalized certificate of achievement to take home. The whole experience runs about 75 minutes from arrival to certificate.
