The experience

You arrive at the range and get a brief demo on stance, grip and release before moving to your shooting position. The instructor covers the safety rules that keep everyone on the line, then hands you a bow and arrows. The rest of the hour is live shooting. You're aiming at targets 10 yards out, and friendly competition is part of the setup. All the gear you need is there waiting. You just show up.

The session works for solo travelers and groups alike. Kids can join as long as they're old enough to follow the safety guidelines and can handle the equipment: the operator welcomes them from age 7. Whether you've never held a bow or you're brushing up on old skills, the one-hour window gives you real time on the line, not just a lecture. The range is wheelchair accessible, and public transportation stops nearby if you're not driving.
