The route takes you past the red and white Harbourtown lighthouse, built in the late 1960s and early 1970s as a draw for tourists, and along the shoreline of Daufuskie Island, which sits just offshore and is only reachable by boat. You'll cruise past some of Hilton Head's quieter beaches, the world-famous Harbour Town Golf Links (which hosts the PGA Heritage Golf Tournament every April), and the backwater creeks where the ecosystem shifts and the wildlife changes. Throughout the 2 hours, your guide shares the island's history, explains the local ecosystem and watches for dolphins, egrets, ospreys and pelicans: sightings are common but never guaranteed.
