The experience
The tour starts at Cox's Landing and heads into the Intracoastal Waterway, the main boating highway through Fort Lauderdale. You'll pass multimillion-dollar yachts, resort hotels and the private homes of Millionaire's Row as the Captain narrates what you're seeing and points out the architecture and history along the shore. The waterway is wide enough to feel open but narrow enough that you're close to the action. This is how locals actually see the city.
Once you reach the sandbar or Whiskey Creek, the boat anchors and the pace shifts. The mangrove-lined creek at Whiskey Creek is calm and scenic. The sandbar is where the party happens, with other boats nearby and music in the air. You get two paddle boards to use, a floating party pad that extends into the water, coolers stocked with ice and bottled water, and a large Bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music. Swim, float, paddle or just sit under the canopy: the Captain builds the day around what your group wants to do.
The Captain is licensed, insured and USCG-compliant, and has been running these charters since 2018. He doubles as your photographer, so someone can actually be in the photos instead of always holding the camera. The pontoon's shade canopy keeps the sun manageable during the 4 hours on the water, and the boat handles groups of friends, families, bachelorette parties and birthday celebrations the same way: by letting you set the tone.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the sandbar and Whiskey Creek on this tour?
The sandbar is the party-central spot where multiple boats gather and the energy is social and lively. Whiskey Creek is a mangrove-lined State Park waterway that's quieter and better for swimming, paddle boarding and spotting birds. Your Captain will anchor at whichever one fits your group's vibe that day.
Can I bring my own food and drinks, or does the tour provide them?
You bring your own food and drinks. The tour provides coolers, ice and bottled water. The large Bluetooth speaker is included so you can set the soundtrack.
How many people can fit on the pontoon?
The boat seats up to 10 guests comfortably under the shade canopy, so a larger group or family can book one charter instead of splitting up.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour operates in typical Fort Lauderdale conditions. Your Captain will advise if conditions are unsafe and can reschedule your departure.
Is the paddle boarding included, or do I need to pay extra?
Two paddle boards are included in the tour price, along with the floating party pad, coolers, ice, water and Bluetooth speaker. Your Captain is also included and acts as your guide and photographer.
