The experience
The tour starts with a ride on the safari tram across the 176-acre property, where you'll see more than 30 camels in their habitat. The tram carries the whole group, so there's no walking required during this part. After the tram ride, you move into the guided zoo tour portion, where a licensed keeper leads you through the animal collection and explains what you're seeing: how camels are adapted to their environment, why the singing dogs sound the way they do, and details about each species you encounter.
The hands-on camel encounter is the centerpiece: you'll meet an ambassador camel up close, touch and interact with it, and get a photo with the animal. This isn't a rushed moment. It's built into the tour so you have time to ask the keeper questions and really take in the experience. The keeper stays with your group throughout, answering questions about the animals and their care, so you're learning the whole time you're walking.
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller if needed. The tour is two hours total, and you'll need to arrange your own transportation to Camel Safari in Bunkerville. The operator does not provide pickup from Las Vegas or anywhere else.
