The experience

You'll taste bourbon at three different distilleries, each with its own approach to the craft. Buffalo Trace opens with a premium tasting of exclusive bourbons at the historic distillery. From there, the tour moves to Rabbit Hole, where you walk through their operation and taste their bourbon, then to Bulleit, known for its bold and spicy profile, where you do the same. The guide leads you through what makes each one work (the mash bills, the barrel aging, the water source), so the tastings land differently as the day goes on.

Lunch is a fixed-menu meal at a locally loved restaurant, included in the price. After eating, the tour stops at Pappy & Co., the retail space founded by the great-granddaughters of Pappy Van Winkle, where you can browse bottles and branded goods without pressure to buy. The vehicle is air-conditioned throughout, and bottled water is provided.

The whole day takes 9.5 hours. A live guide in English narrates the stops and the tastings. Public transportation options are available nearby if you need them, and the tour suits all fitness levels.
