The experience
You'll spend two hours in the kitchen making four American-Chinese dishes that usually come in a paper bag. The chef walks you through building a silky egg drop soup, layering flavor into sesame chicken and fried rice, and folding a banana-mango wonton dessert finished with ice cream and chocolate ganache. Each step teaches a technique you can replicate at home, and you leave with written recipes for all four dishes.
The class is hands-on from start to finish: you're not watching a demonstration, you're doing the cooking. All fresh ingredients and kitchen equipment are already there, so you arrive ready to work. Once everything is plated, you sit down together and eat the three-course meal you just made, tasting the results of each technique you learned.
The experience runs through Cozymeal, which pairs you with a top-rated local chef. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, let them know in advance and they'll adapt the recipes to suit your needs. The minimum age is 21.
