The experience

The ride starts with a short video briefing before you enter the 20-seat theater. You'll fasten your seat belt, put on 3D glasses, and grab your laser blaster. As the seats move along with the action on the high-definition screen, you aim and fire at virtual enemies: zombies, robot cowboys, werewolves, creepy clowns, or post-apocalyptic fighters, depending on which adventure you pick. The game tracks every shot and tallies your accuracy in real time.

Scoring is competitive and visible: after the 10-minute ride ends, each player sees their final score on the onscreen photo reveal, so you know exactly where you ranked against the other players in your group. Road Fighters and Los Banditos skew toward action without heavy scares. Werewolves, Zombies, and Carnival are designed to be genuinely creepy, which matters if you're riding with younger kids or anyone who prefers less intensity. All five adventures run on the same schedule during PIER 39's opening hours, so you can pick your ride when you arrive.

The experience is wheelchair accessible throughout, and all areas and surfaces accommodate mobility devices. You'll need to meet the minimum height of 40 inches to ride, and the seat has a maximum weight capacity of 300 pounds.
