Step-by-step itinerary

- Play multiplayer sci-fi VR adventure
- Battle zombies and bandits in 7D ride
- Complete the Laser Maze Challenge
The experience
If you've got a free afternoon in San Francisco and want to skip the planning, this pass solves it: four separate attractions, one ticket, no line-hopping between booths. The Flyer puts you in a two-level theater where the seats move as you soar above the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and Muir Woods in real time. It's the only flying theater in Northern California, and the motion syncs with what's on screen. You feel the bank and the climb.
From there you move into Chaos Jump, where up to four of you put on VR headsets and team up across 18 exotic worlds, battling robots and hunting treasure. The system runs 495 different game combinations, so no two sessions play the same way. Then the 7D Ride Experience straps you into a motion seat that lurches with the action while you shoot at targets on a big screen: zombies, werewolves, bandits, all competing for the high score. Last is the Laser Maze Challenge: you crawl, twist, and dodge through a room of crisscrossing laser beams before the clock runs out. It sounds simple until you're inside it.
The whole sequence takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on how many people are ahead of you and how long you linger in the maze. Pier 39 itself is right on the waterfront with public transit nearby, so you don't need a car to get there. All areas are wheelchair accessible, though the motion rides and height minimums (40 inches for The Flyer and 7D Ride, 45 inches for Chaos Jump) mean not every family member rides everything.
