The experience
The tour leaves San Francisco and drives to Las Vegas, where you spend the first night and take a two-hour night tour of the Strip. The Las Vegas Strip stretches five kilometers and uses enough electricity in a single night to power a city of 500,000 residents for an entire year. The tour shows you the architecture, the neon, and the Sphere Experience: a five-block display of millions of LED lights. You'll also have time to explore Fremont Street and the city's other sights on your own.
Day two takes you into Utah's national parks. Zion National Park sits in the desert but is shaped by millions of years of erosion into striking rock formations, winding canyons, and vast wilderness trails. From there, you move to Bryce Canyon National Park, which is not actually a canyon but a massive natural amphitheater carved into the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Its most iconic features are hoodoos (towering rock pillars sculpted by wind, water, and ice) that rise in red, orange, and white. You'll stay in Page, Arizona, near Lake Powell National Recreation Area.
Day three covers the most photographed stops. Horseshoe Bend, named one of the top ten photography spots in the United States by National Geographic, shows the Colorado River making a dramatic 360-degree curve through reddish-brown canyon walls, with the water appearing vivid green under sunlight. Lower Antelope Canyon, carved from soft sandstone, has no artificial lighting. Sunlight streams through narrow cracks above and scatters off the textured rock in shifting colors: deep tones to soft pastels. You'll also visit the Grand Canyon South Rim, the second most-visited national park in the country, spanning over 1.2 million acres and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. That night you return to Las Vegas.
On day four, you stop at the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign for a photo before driving back to San Francisco. The vehicle is a Mercedes Sprinter for groups of 2 to 14 people. Larger groups travel by luxury coach. Your guide speaks English throughout the tour.
