The Experience

I still remember that first slap of cool salt water against my face—way more bracing than I expected for a Caribbean morning. We’d met up at Low Key Watersports, right there in Cruz Bay, where our divemaster (I think her name was Maya?) handed out gear and cracked a joke about “island time” when someone’s mask strap tangled.
