The experience
The Blue Dream is one of the largest daysail yachts operating in the Virgin Islands, and the captain and crew know the tranquil waters well enough to sail you out to Christmas Cove: a remote anchorage off Great St. James where the sunset hits the southern coast of St. Thomas at its best angle. The boat carries up to 12 people, so you're not crammed in with strangers. The group stays small enough that the crew can move around and keep the drinks flowing without anyone waiting.
Once you're anchored, there's nowhere to go but into the moment. The open bar means cocktails, and the kitchen sends out hors d'oeuvres while you watch the light change over the water. Two hours is the full trip: enough time to feel like you've left the island behind, not so long that the sun sets before you're settled in. The captain handles the sailing. You handle the sunset.
What’s included

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the Private Sunset Sail and the Sunset Cruise & Pizza Dinner option?
The Private Sunset Sail anchors at Christmas Cove for the sunset with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The Sunset Cruise & Pizza Dinner includes a full pizza meal instead, so you choose based on whether you want lighter bites and drinks or a sit-down dinner on the water.
How far is Christmas Cove from St. Thomas, and what does the anchorage look like?
Christmas Cove is a remote anchorage off Great St. James, a small island just offshore from St. Thomas. The captain sails you there specifically to watch the sunset over St. Thomas's southern coast, so you get both the open water and a view back toward land.
Can I bring children on this sail?
Yes. Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller, and specialized infant seats are available. The two-hour sail is generally suitable for all fitness levels, though it's not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or if you're pregnant.
What's included in the open bar?
Alcoholic beverages, soda and pop, and snacks are all included. The crew will keep drinks flowing throughout the two hours you're anchored at Christmas Cove.
