The boat leaves from the Ritz-Carlton on St. Thomas after a light continental breakfast is served. The first stop is a coral reef off the North Shore of St. John, where you enter the water with provided snorkel gear to explore the reef. After that dive, the catamaran clears customs at Great Harbor on Jost Van Dyke, then anchors in White Bay: a few minutes away and home to the Soggy Dollar Bar, a beachfront institution built on a dock where swimmers wade straight up to order drinks.
Once anchored, the afternoon is yours to structure. Guests 18 and older can order the bar's signature Painkiller cocktail (included in the full open bar). Anyone can play ring toss, string up in a hammock, or wade back into the turquoise water to snorkel the shallows around the beach. The boat stays long enough to let the day settle, not a quick photo stop but real time to sit still or move around. On the return to Cruz Bay, happy hour runs the full sail back, with the open bar staying live until you clear U.S. Customs and dock.
The eight-hour window is the differentiator here. Most group charters to Jost Van Dyke compress the island into an afternoon. This one boards early, snorkels first, and leaves you the bulk of daylight on White Bay. Bring a towel from your hotel. The boat does not provide them to help conserve the island's fresh water. Passport required for all passengers.

Is this one for you?Book this if you want a full morning and afternoon on the water rather than a compressed afternoon visit. The early departure from the Ritz-Carlton and the morning snorkel stop mean you reach White Bay with most of the day ahead, not as the sun is already dropping.
