You’ll get hands-on scuba training with a certified PADI instructor in Fujairah’s clear waters, see colorful marine life up close, enjoy a beachside BBQ lunch, and take home underwater photos—all gear included.
We met our PADI instructor just after sunrise, when the air still felt cool and salty from the sea. After a quick intro at the dive center—right by the harbor, with fishing boats bobbing nearby—we got fitted for wetsuits and checked our gear. The instructor, Ahmed, was patient and easygoing; he even cracked a joke about my awkward attempts to walk in fins.
The confined water training happened close to shore. I remember the odd sensation of breathing underwater for the first time—almost like learning to ride a bike again. Ahmed showed us how to clear our masks and signal if we needed help. It felt safe, almost routine after a few minutes.
Once we were ready, we headed out for the open water dive. The world below changed fast: schools of tiny silver fish darted past, and bright corals peeked out from rocks. At one point, I spotted a curious angelfish hovering near my hand. The feeling of floating weightless was wild—nothing like swimming at the surface.
After surfacing, we swapped stories over a light BBQ lunch right on the beach—grilled chicken skewers and cold sodas hit differently when you’re salty and sun-warmed. Someone from the crew snapped underwater pictures for us (my hair looked hilarious). We wrapped up with some relaxed snorkeling; honestly, it was hard to leave the water behind.
