The Experience

You arrive at CityWalk and head into a climate-controlled biodome that holds an entire rainforest ecosystem under one roof. The guide meets you at the entrance and walks you through the four distinct levels, each one a different zone of the forest — starting at the flooded base where water channels run through, moving up through the forest floor where you spot reptiles and insects, then climbing into the midstory canopy where birds fly freely overhead. The man-made tree at the center serves as a breeding ground for exotic plants and animals, and you get to touch and handle specimens during guided encounters: the Bug Encounter, the Bat Cave, Sugar Glider interactions, and the Australian Walkabouts all happen as part of the same visit.

The canopy walkway takes you up through the treetops for a perspective most people never get from ground level, and if you want the full physical experience, there's a climbing wall that lets you scale the tree itself. Children get interactive stations designed just for them, and the guide explains what you're seeing — the biodiversity, how the rainforest works, why these habitats matter. You move at your own pace through the four levels, stopping where something catches your eye, and the guide answers questions as you go.

Parking is handled: four hours free in the CityWalk underground lot. If you book the transfer option, the driver picks you up from your hotel, drops you at the entrance, and returns to collect you when the tour ends — no need to arrange a taxi or navigate the parking yourself. Food and drink aren't allowed inside the park, so plan accordingly. Bring a camera, but skip the flash around the animals.
