Parasailing in Dubai: Palm Jumeirah & JBR Beach views
Fly 250 meters above the water and see Dubai from the air
Parasailing in Dubai is a 45–90 minute activity where you soar 10–12 minutes above the water attached to a parachute, towed by a 2022 speedboat from Dubai Harbour near JBR. The boat ride to the launch point takes about 15 minutes; you'll see Palm Jumeirah, JBR Beach and Bluewaters Island from above. Safety vest, harness and bottled water are included, as are photos and videos sent to your phone. Children from age 6 are welcome; combined participant weight must fall between 55kg and 180kg, with an additional charge if the group exceeds 170kg.
The Experience
Dubai Harbour is where you start, boarding a 2022 speedboat that cruises 15 minutes out toward open water near JBR. The boat holds up to three people at once, each clipped into a safety harness and tethered to the parasail. Once you're in position, the tow line pulls taut and you lift off the water, climbing to around 250 meters while the boat maintains steady speed below.
The flight itself runs 10–12 minutes, long enough to take in the full sweep of Dubai's coastline: Palm Jumeirah's fronds spread out below, JBR's high-rises stacked along the shore, and Bluewaters Island sitting offshore. The whole outing—boat ride, flight, return and landing—takes 45 to 90 minutes depending on how many people are flying that day. A crew member photographs and films your flight on a phone or camera you bring, and the images go straight to your device before you leave.
Weight requirements matter here: the combined weight of everyone in your group needs to be at least 55kg and no more than 180kg. If your group weighs over 170kg together, you'll need to split into separate flights, which costs an additional AED100 per person. Weather can cancel the session even if you're at the location—strong winds, rain or gusts make it unsafe to fly—so the crew makes that call on the day.
