The experience

Your afternoon or evening starts with pickup from your Dubai hotel in an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle. The drive to the Lahbab desert takes you away from the city, and your guide shares details about the region as you head out. Once the dunes come into view, the vehicle angles up the first slope. The ride itself is the point here, not a smooth transfer. You'll climb and drop across the red dunes with photo stops at the high points where the landscape opens up in all directions.

If you book the 4-hour option, dune bashing and on-site activities fill the afternoon: sandboarding down the slopes, sipping Arabian coffee, trying henna tattoos, or posing with Arabian falcons for photos. Quad biking is available for extra cost if you want another rush. The 7-hour tour extends into evening and adds a full cultural experience. You'll move to a torchlit Bedouin-style camp where the same activities continue (sandboarding, coffee, henna, falcon photos), but now you can also wear traditional dress for memorable shots. As the sun sets, belly dancers and Tanoura performers take the stage while you eat from a BBQ buffet with kebabs, hummus, salads, and both vegetarian and meat options. Bottled water and snacks come throughout, and a fire show closes the evening before the drive back to your hotel.
