The experience

The safari starts with pickup from your hotel in a shared or private 4x4 Land Cruiser, then heads into the desert for dune bashing across the Lahbab terrain. A professional guide in Arabic uniform leads the convoy and stops at a sunset viewpoint for about twenty to thirty minutes: time to photograph the light and try sandboarding on the dunes before the camp arrives into view.

At the campsite, the evening opens with appetizers and soft drinks as soon as you enter. You can ride a camel, practice sandboarding again, or sit for henna on your hand or feet while the camp fills with activity. Shisha (Arabic water pipe) and Kahwah (traditional coffee) are available throughout. The belly dance show, Tanoura spinning performance and fire show happen as the sun sets and stars come out. Dinner is a BBQ spread served in the main seating area. Premium sofa seating is available if you want to upgrade at checkout.

The guide speaks English, Arabic, Hindi or Russian depending on the group. Children from age one are welcome. Alcohol and premium buffet upgrades are available for an additional charge, and quad bikes can be arranged on request if you want to ride instead of drive.
