The experience

Your guide picks you up in a comfortable 4×4 and drives to the Lehbab Red Dunes, one of Dubai's most scenic desert landscapes. The dune bashing itself is the first rush: the vehicle climbs and descends the high red sands while you hold on and watch the desert roll past. After that comes sandboarding: you take a board onto the soft dunes and slide down, which is easier than it sounds and works for all fitness levels. There's time to photograph yourself on the high dunes before heading to the desert camp for the evening.

At camp, you ride a camel and then settle in for dinner. The BBQ spreads both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and tea and coffee flow throughout the evening. The entertainment runs while you eat (belly dancing, Turkish folk dance, Arabian shows, fire performances), and henna art is available if you want it applied.
